New Orleans Friend and her family arrived in town after a 17 hour drive (usually takes 9-10) yesterday.

They ended up staying a few miles from here and we're getting ready to go see them.

We're preparing the house again for New Orleans Friend and her family.

As much as we enjoy seeing them, perhaps a potentially disastrous hurricane isn't the best way to get together for a visit.

The kids have been in school a couple of weeks now, and Busy Boy (7th grade, can you believe that?) has been uncharacteristically doing his homework on his own, without complaint.
